Isode LDAP and X.500 Directory Servers
High performance and high availability LDAP and X.500 servers that ship with powerful cross-platform management tools, Isode's M-Vault family of Directory Servers incorporate extensive security features, are quick to install and easy to use.
Directory Servers
The M-Vault family of products from Isode provide robust, scalable and trusted LDAP/X.500 directory services. The three M-Vault products are:
- M-Vault provides high-performance, replicated and managed LDAP infrastructure.
- M-Vault X.500 is a high performance directory server, which can operate as a full X.500 DSA (Directory System Agent) as well as providing LDAP access.
- M-Vault Connector can be used to connect an LDAP-only directory server as part of an X.500 Directory Service or build an integrated, mixed (LDAP or X.400) directory service.
Isode provides a Directory Client API to enable applications to access a directory in order to perform authentication and to obtain configuration information.
Directory Server Management
an overview of directory server management tools can be found here. Server management tools can be divided into three categories.
- Configuration Management: Enterprise Directory Management (EDM) prpvides for the management and systems' administration of large-scale directory services, including; configuration of databases, server control, replciated data, authentication agreements, and access control management (more).
- Operational Management: Covering the Isode Directory Console (DConsole), SNMP Monitoring, Audit, Event and Fault Logging, as well as backup and disaster recovery (more).
- M-Vault Data Access and Management: Including Sodium (Secure Open Data, Identity and User Manager), a tool for managing the data held in LDAP/X.500 enterprise directory servers, the Isode Web-Directory Access Server which enables a user to utilize a standard WWW browser to access information in an LDAP Directory and Bulk-loading and dumping of data (more).
- Directory Synchronization: Utilizing Sodium-Sync to synchronize data from one directory server to another using LDAP or X.500 DAP (more).
