MConsole
MConsole (Message Console) is Isode's central tool for M-Switch and M-Store X.400 Configuration and Operational management. MConsole functions for X.400 messaging include:

Audit Database
M-Switch has comprehensive audit logging, which records details of message information, submission, transfer and delivery. The Audit Database stores structured audit log data from one or more M-Switch servers in an ODBC database and is used by Isode tools for management reporting and message tracking.
It can also be used by customer applications to access audit information and by applications such as report generation and Service Level Agreement (SLA) systems.

Web Applications
Isode provides two web applications to support X.400 messaging, which operate in conjunction with the Audit Database.
Message Tracking
Allows authenticated users detailed searching across all messages delivered by the MTAs being monitored (more), as an alternate view of Message Tracking to that provided in MConsole.
Statistics
Provides detailed reports on M-Switch historical traffic (more).
Event Handling & Audit Logging
Isode server products and associated management tools use an event system. Events are defined in an XML repository, providing documentation of events and operator actions. Events are numbered in a structured manner to indicate severity and error type. The event system deals with events that need operator action, and informative events to give indication of progress and to help with diagnosis of problem situations. SNMP Monitoring
Isode's own GUI tools, such as MConsole, are ideal for monitoring Isode's servers in smaller configurations. Larger deployments will often use SNMP (Simple Network Monitoring Protocol) to monitor a wide range of network and other components.
