On this page you can find out about new product functionality and changes
in Isode R14.1. We've split this page into 6 areas, covering:
R14.1 is the current Isode release. R14.1
was preceeded by R14.0.
New Product
Sodium-Sync
This is our new directory synchronization product, provided as a part
of Sodium and included as a part of the M-Vault product set. It provides
direct (one way) synchronization between a pair of LDAP/DAP directories.
It is particularly targeted at replicating data from Microsoft Active
Directory into M-Vault, but is not restricted to this. It provides high
functionality and a lot of flexibility. However, a primary design goal
has been to make it very easy to set up for standard cases.
You can read more about Sodium-Sync here.
Management Tools
IMA Delegated Administration
The web-based Internet Messaging Administration provides a mechanism
for delegation based on domain. This is designed for service providers
offering Internet messaging to provide email services for an organization,
and delegate mailbox and account administration to the organization.
You can read more about Delegated Administration here.
Server Watch Daemon & SNMP access to events
The Isode event handling has been extended to enable sending events
over the network to Isode's new Server Watch Daemon. The primary goal
of this is to send events that (may) need operator attention to the
Watch server, so that it can perform consolidated processing that would
not be practical in the process where the event occurs. In particular,
it supports SNMP, so that recent events are held in the Watch Daemon,
and can be queried by accessing multiple user-defined tables over SNMP.
SNMP NOTIFICANTIONS (TRAPs) may be used to alert SNMP Stations to new
Isode events. The Server Watch Daemon also allows consolidated logging
to multiple files.
You can read more about Audit Logging and Event Handling here.
