About us
History of Isode
Isode was originally established in 1992 as the ‘ISODE Consortium’. By 1999, when it became MessagingDirect, the company sold products to customers in 29 countries. MessagingDirect was sold to ACI Worldwide in 2001, and Isode was re-established as an independent UK company in 2002 to re-focus on supporting existing products and new product development.

R19.0 Is Released
Our core messaging products received their next big update, adding in new features and capabilities to each product, alongside a complete code rewrite.

Isode 2.0 turns 20
The Isode that is known today officially turns 20! And is celebrated by the now more than 50 staff together at the Isode head office.

Icon-Topo
Icon-Topo, a web app that monitors and supports Mobile Units between multiple HF networks was released. Icon-Topo allows a Mobile Unit to seamlessly transfer from one communications network point to another.

Red/Black
Our communication chain monitoring software, Red/Black was released. This allows for the monitoring and management of devices and servers across a network. It is the third HF focused product released by Isode.

Our HF products were expanded with Icon-PEP, a performance enhancing proxy that enables the use of IP applications over HF networks.

Cobalt Released
To help support our LDAP Directory, M-Vault, we released Cobalt, a web interface that can be used for user provisioning and role based access support.

Our XML based, network Boundary Guard was released. M-Guard Provides users with a secure way to control data and traffic across a network boundary

The first release of Icon-5066, Isode’s modem-independent STANAG 5066 server.

M-Switch HF Circuit Management API
An important part of our offering for BRASS (Broadcast and Ship to Shore) systems, the MHFCM API allows control of the Isode Message Processing System products which are part of an integrated BRASS deployment.

Harrier
Isode’s military messaging client, Harrier, is made available to partners. Harrier provides a modern, web-based interface onto military messaging systems.

Swift
The open source XMPP client, Swift, is formally adopted into the Isode product set with Isode offering commercial support contracts for this client.

ACP127
An ACP127 add-on is released for M-Switch allowing message conversion to/from ACP127, SMTP and STANAG 4406. Full support for the related ACP126, ACP128, JANAP128 and DOI103S protocols is also available.

M-Link IRC Gateway
To enable connection between XMPP and IRC systems, Isode launch the M-Link IRC Gateway, connecting XMPP MUC rooms with IRC channels.
