Icon-5066 3.2 – Updated Capabilities

Icon-5066 is our modem independant, STANAG 5066 server. It enables users to run applications efficiently over HF Radios & Modems.

This page summarizes a substantial update being made to Icon-5066 3.2. Given the nature of these changes and the planned 4.0 release with larger changes, we felt it was best to provide an update to release 3.2.

A Microgate Sync serial driver has been added with Linux support, so Icon-5066 can now be run with Sync Serial on all supported platforms

Icon-Skywave is a new tool shipped with Icon-5066 that performs HF Prediction using the ITU-R P.533 algorithm. A Web UI is now provided to configure this. OAuth is used to control access to this UI.

MIL-STD-110-141D was updated to redefine how frequencies should be specified. Icon-5066 has been updated to reflect this. This change only impacts Wideband operation.

• A number of small UI improvements

• Option to support Async 3G and 4G ALE (default Sync)

• Improvements to Broadcast Receive

• SNR Monitoring in Proxy Modem (Black Side)

• SNR Monitoring Tool (mainly used for FAB) now allows multiple clients

• Monitoring of Icon-Skywave and Proxy Modem Connections (from both red and black sides)

• WTRP new timers and metrics
